Fatigue of the Mind

way

Since development along one’s Way is the natural state of the mind — its native gravitation — it is also the most harmonious condition for the being. That is, it is accompanied by minimal losses of Power at maximal intensity.

In other words, development (in the true sense of the word — that is, the disclosure and actualization of individuality) is the mind’s most equilibrated state: the state toward which it always strives, and in which it feels maximally comfortable. All other states are less harmonious; therefore an entire system of obscuration is implanted in the mind — one that deceives it and forces it to pass from a more balanced and productive state into a less effective and more pathological one.

This is summed up in the well-known notion that development gives Power. Moreover, this statement is true in both directions: on the one hand, the closer a given mode of development is to the natural state of the mind, the more Power it gives; on the other, the more Power the Way gives, the closer it is to the mind’s native gravitation.

The task of the Magus who is building his Way consists precisely in this: by stringing the elements of this Way on the thread of his life, he strives for ever-greater correspondence between this Way and his individual natural state — thus not only increasing the clarity of his vision and the adequacy of his actions, but also reducing the dissipation of energy.

At the initial stages, when the mind is still heavily destructured and habituated to the condition of a victim, the removal of alien elements can be tiring and even painful. Yet with the correct direction of development, understanding soon arrives — and after it, the felt sense that the state being attained is not only more “correct,” but also more natural for the mind. Then the Way ceases to be tiring. On the contrary, it is precisely the Way that proves to be the most equilibrated state.

Accordingly, if a mind that considers itself to be developing remains for a long time in a state of fatigue, dead-end, or suppression, this is a sure sign that the direction of its movement has been chosen incorrectly. Of course, obstacles on the Way are always encountered, and of course, as intensity increases they become higher and more dangerous. Yet overcoming these obstacles ceases to be a tiring necessity; on the contrary, it turns out to be just as natural as the ascent itself to the summits of realization.

Tension — the incandescence that is a property of the primordial fiery nature of the mind — does not tire the mind. On the contrary, it is equilibrated for it; what proves tiring is the withdrawal from it — the cooling and relaxation of the mind.

If some force influencing the mind leads to prolonged, chronic fatigue, then that force is certainly not constructive, and certainly does not lead in the correct direction.

Any violence is destructive precisely because it diverts the mind from its natural state toward artificial, arbitrarily conditioned constructions, and is accompanied by the dissipation of Power and fatigue.

At the same time, it is necessary to remember the other extreme as well: the illusion of pleasure can also be produced by the loss of Power, and by contact with large external sources of it. However, this pleasure is depleting; it is akin to the action of narcotics or intoxicating substances.

Therefore, for the Magus it is very important to examine his state in both directions: on the one hand, to check how harmonious his current movement is, and how natural it is for him; and on the other, to determine whether the pleasure of movement is not a consequence of intoxication by the movement of Power — whether it leads to the actual actualization of one’s own potencies, to the actual manifestation of individuality, and to an increase of self-identity. Having found the boundary between these abysses, the mind truly becomes capable of growth, and its movement truly becomes creative, productive, and liberating.

  1. Increasing power leads to increased responsibility due to increased influence on the consciousness of those around. Yes, that is somewhat burdensome, as it requires a reconsideration of one’s behavior and heightened control of thoughts and emotions. Obsessive thoughts related to fear are particularly destructive. Understanding that no one can make me be under their influence without my consent helps to extricate myself.

  2. I watch modern clips, read statements. For some reason, many think that mindless imitation and copying beautifies them. This is not true. Only what is done and said from the heart beautifies and fills. Only this has power.
By the ‘Power,’ one can understand different states of energy. It is both accumulated energy power and the subjective state of each specific energy. For example, when we share poetry or thoughts, we amplify and generate energy of thoughts connected with the idea. The power here will be in the revelation and purity multiplied by the strength of Creativity.

    • I believe infants have more power than most adults. As they grow older, conditioning, adaptation to society, etc. occurs. According to Vedic knowledge, sexual life in young men in ancient civilizations began after about 21 years. Due to sexual energy, the development of subtle structures occurred. Today, the main preventive measure against fatigue, I consider informational posts. How many people, for example, have fallen into an emotional trap because of events in Ukraine? Too many predators are eager to feast on human flesh (that is, human energy). It’s better to stroll through the park sometimes than to stare at the TV zombie box.

      • A baby has less trash between consciousness and the Force. But at the same time, they have little knowledge of what to do with this Force. Small children love to run, jump; energy flows… and then society throws them trash that blocks the use of energy. Most children have no concept of “tired consciousness”!

  3. In my opinion, an infant is not an ideal in terms of power. For if the world were so, it would be definitely somewhat different… Up to the theory that all we see – is done by infants with their power) In my opinion, they are carriers of individuality, which is often preserved in us in pre-personal structures. And it is this that one seeks to return to. Also, in my view, infants are expressions of the principle of receptivity. Here I can also add, as a person who remembers myself quite clearly from the earliest age – thoughts and people are then perceived specifically. A person carrying the idea of destruction, like a pressing energy on the head. And you cannot escape that or say no. To me, this roughly represents the mechanism of ‘evil eye’. And by this and many other indications, such as feral children raised by animals, we see that if a child is a bearer of individuality, he has almost no resources to preserve it.

  4. “…Their happiness is based on the inherent seething energy of the luminaries, on the bubbling, sparkling spirit, the core of which is – inner strength and love of life, seeming to fill each of their cells, every second of lived time.” K. Saimak. “Transfer Station.”
