Circumstances and States

Our consciousness is not self-contained nor solely reliant on itself; science and magic affirm this truth. Every manifestation of consciousness — its affects and states— is contingent on its supports. Thus, the magician’s task is the relentless refinement of the psychophysical complex where the stream of consciousness unfolds.

Magic as a system of development integrates mental, sensory, and psychophysical practices. Liberation of consciousness is achieved through the comprehensive engagement of the psycho-energy-physical complex wherein the consciousness of this incarnation resides.

This approach applies universally, encompassing the entire system and its every branch.

We have asserted that one of the primary levers of shifting consciousness self-identity is the activation of constructive matrices with vast creative potential — known as “deity yoga.”

Effective approaches have been created to facilitate such activation. These include utilizing relevant attributes, recitations, and energies that resonate with the state of the matrix.

The being — a holistic composite — sees mutual influence between its consciousness and conduits. The active matrix resonates through the conduits — “bodies” of thought, feeling, and life. Changes in these bodies transmute states of consciousness, thereby altering its matrices.

Hatha Yoga, through physical manipulation, ultimately aims to transform consciousness. Each stable posture correlates with specific consciousness elements, so altering bodily connections can reform consciousness connections.

Similarly, deity yoga demands manipulating the body of desires— the individual’s vortex. The state of consciousness and its vortex carrier are inextricably linked.

Hunting for Power, a fundamental magical strategy, epitomizes transformation. By moving through places, interactions, and energies, the magician fine-tunes the body of desires to better align with higher constructive matrices, elevating the “degree of initiation.”

Historically, “wandering magicians” sought energetically aligned places for higher matrices. By engaging with these locations, they induced the requisite state in their vortex, and consequently, transformed consciousness.

On the “micro-level,” Mystery actions or Initiatic Rites hinge on location. Each chosen site corresponds to targeted experiences and consciousness states, guiding transcendent progress.

It is clear why some are “drawn” to particular locales (motivated by profound striving, not whimsy): the energies of these places provoke critical experiences, delivering the impetus to live and evolve. While activation of any available consciousness matrix is theoretically possible in any locale or condition, lacking the proper levers and supports is inefficient. The adept magician adapts to their situation, using available resources fully, but always maintains comprehensive and foundational effectiveness — even if the “point of effort,” the “entry point of Force,” emerges in the form of “exercise,” “travel,” “meditations,” or “rituals.” Change permeates all levels, driving the realization and liberation of consciousness.
