Against the Current
Power is homogeneous and universal in its essence: an infinite field of potential possibilities within the Absolute’s integral consciousness. Yet it enters actual manifestation as individual Flows: developing, actualizing points of crystallization of consciousness, perceived as independent individual beings.
We have said that the world’s potential consciousness actualizes itself by differentiating into a multitude of conscious elements. A corresponding aspect of integral being — the Monadic nature— directs and differentiates each of them.
This yields a well-known magical conclusion: Power does not exist apart from its bearers.
Accordingly, the “Flows of Power” that we have spoken about so many times are, in fact, Flows generated by individual consciousnesses. The more individual Flows move in the same direction, the stronger the current they create together.
In its primordial nature, the totality of these Flows should share a single direction — from the ocean of Power of life into the ocean of the Power of awareness. In reality, however, we see a Flow of Power from Baphomet and back to Baphomet.
To secure his own existence, the Supreme Predator implanted an element of destruction in each individual consciousness: the Parasite of mind. It trains its host to act inefficiently, to dissipate energy, and thus turns consciousness, from the goal and meaning of Manifestation, into nothing more than Baphomet’s “milk cow.”
The methods and routes of this global devouring of consciousness are endless. The variety of Flows in which the consciousnesses of the victims move is therefore endless as well.
Yet from the very beginning of being, a disease arose on Baphomet’s body: certain points of awareness refused to submit to his enslaving power and struggled with all their strength to regain their primordial condition as free creators of reality. These upstarts always came under pressure from the dominant Flows, and the very form of their existence — Magic — met with anathema in every age.
A Magus always goes against the current, and against a current that is openly hostile to him. The more clearly a Magus attains awareness of his condition, his nature, his Way, the more actively his surroundings resist him.
Anyone who wants to step onto the Way of Magic must therefore understand with complete clarity that he challenges an entire world built on consumption; the romance of this resistance is highly doubtful, and the pressure is almost unbearable.
For that reason I want to repeat once more, paraphrasing Leo Tolstoy, the thesis that sharply captures the essence of the choice: Magic should not be practiced by the one who can practice it, but only by the one who cannot not practice it.

A couple of years ago, from my own observations, I established one rule: teachers do not need those who can do something. They need those who have a talent for it.
Receiving power from any deity will also mean gaining part of that deity’s consciousness?
Rather, receiving power from a god will mean becoming part of its consciousness field.
I would interpret the situation in the World this way – The Stream “of the Consciousness Force of Baphomet” affects people, redirecting both the Forces of Life and the Forces of Consciousness towards itself.
My observations suggest otherwise. If a teacher only takes talented students, it indicates insecurity in themselves. A true teacher takes those who strive to learn or even just wish to learn. The teacher should be able to teach even the most untalented student.
But the teacher can make a mistake by taking a talented student while rejecting a striving one, since striving is persistence and willpower. And talent may just exist.
If we say that Magic should not be practiced by those who want to, nor by those who can, but by those who cannot not practice it, it seems to me that any sane person, when realizing their real situation, will understand that they cannot do without practicing Magic.
Indeed, the romanticism of the Path is quite dubious)))
Six or seven years ago, at some point in life, I gradually began to feel that both the surrounding world and a certain part of the inner world were hostile to Me (to my human nature). That even my “own thoughts” seek to make me unhappy, dependent, weak… At that time I had not heard anything about predators and parasites. And I perceived magic at that time stereotypically, that is, more as the ability to fly on a broom and see distant lands in a bowl of water… (after all, I was watching television!). But that slightly felt premonition of such unclear hostility from undefined forces provoked an awful desire (wish) to resist. And then I began to think and learn. Without going into the details of my Path, I can say that the initial unclear premonition of the falsity of many life elements and the existence of hostile forces in the world began to clarify, while the world (including the inner one) exhibited its aggression in all its glory…
Recently, I came across such a notion of Magic, which is presented here by the esteemed author of the blog. And I see that although I knew nothing about it, I have been heading in the same direction as other magicians all these years. Thank you once again, Enmerkar, for those who are “growing their garden” have a place to meet, learn, and share experiences.
Those who cultivate their garden should remember that gradually a desert will grow around it.
And the more beautiful the oasis of the mage, the more ferocious the sandstorms will become beyond the fence, where the society will remain.
A wonderful association, Alira. Thank you. It is important that the sandstorms will rage beyond the boundaries of the oasis, not within our souls, as before, erasing everything bright and human.
Following such logic, the reverse proportion will end badly. Inevitable.
I am sincerely amazed because I found your blog. It was hard to imagine that there is even a tenth of such information somewhere. Moreover, the texts consist of words, but in reality, these are non-existent phenomena described, yet the words are the same. It gives an understanding of many things that were previously understood intuitively, internally. I express my gratitude to the author for creating the blog.
“a magician always goes against the current, and against a current that is openly hostile to him” – the inertial force of the current is very powerful, so attempts at resistance are always painful, not just because malicious external forces prevent other movement, but because the current of this flow must be turned back within oneself – all this, of course, is just a metaphor, – for there are no words in the language of normal society that directly convey the processes occurring at the energy level.

“And the more obviously a magician is aware of his state, his nature, his Path, the more his environment actively resists him” – it is clear that no white swan will survive in a barnyard – Stalking to help, as they say (:
