Regardless of how we regard the Catholic Church and, in general, egregores, the reality of our world is that this institution functions as a powerful ‘vigilant guard’ restraining the onslaught of infernal forces.
However many scandals may have surrounded its priests and prelates, however unwise and short-sighted its bulls and encyclicals proved to be, it was the Catholic Church that historically virtually monopolized the bulk of artifacts, books, and resources for exorcism — both in the narrow sense (individual rites) and in the broad sense (the global struggle against demonic expansion).
Therefore the problem of “Sede vacante“, as well as the simultaneous existence of several popes (in periods of antipopes), has not only historical and social dimensions but also mystical and magical aspects.
The story of how the Roman episcopate became the primary guardian of world stability is surrounded by many legends, and facts have become closely intertwined with conjecture.
It is likely that even in the very earliest centuries of Christianity, the Church (partly by lawful means, partly by less lawful ones) accumulated magical artifacts, books, and scrolls that were abundantly brought to Rome — the capital of the known world — adopting methods from long-standing demon-hunters, the Chaldeans and Persians, methods of restraining dark forces.
No other organization or Order, no other Church (neither the Protestants, nor the Orthodox Churches, nor the non-Chalcedonian churches, nor even the Coptic Church) ever possessed such power to expel demons, nor such an ability to marshal exorcistic forces. Again, one can debate what might have happened if such a legacy had fallen to another institution — but that does nothing to alter the historical fact that it did not.
And although for Magi the source of these forces — the Archangelic hierarchies — is neither friendly nor allied, one must nevertheless acknowledge that without reliance on the Holy See humanity would be in grave trouble. In any case, anyone even slightly sensitive to global energetic currents can clearly perceive that the present condition of a “world without a Pope” is markedly different from what it was only yesterday, and the previous interregnum (2005) was accompanied by a serious surge of dark spirits into our world. Therefore, Magi must now be especially vigilant against possible demonic interventions and triple their protective measures during any rituals that open the Lower Gates.

In general, the influence of the Throne is twofold – on one hand, it protects our world, while on the other, it acts as its jailer and brake.
This is a well-known tragedy in history – when a protector turns into a jailer, and then into an executioner. So, the symbolic abdication of Benedict is quite pleasing. The Pope seems to silently tell us – the world is already mature enough, and therefore the Throne is loosening its caring and suffocating grip.
By the way, in the news: Right after the Pope’s abdication, lightning struck the Cathedral!.. No matter how you twist it – a sign from above))) And what a classic one!! The famous Major Arcana comes to mind. Our world is clearly changing) relentlessly, inevitably!))
So what does this Lightning mean? In my opinion, the answer is clearly written on the backs of naked Ukrainian feminists: “POPE NO MORE!!”

It is curious that according to the prophecy of Saint Malachy “of the Popes” the next Pope will be the last. Saint Malachy ends his list of 112 Popes with: “112 – Peter the Roman (Petrus Romanus), who will shepherd the sheep amid much anguish; after which the city of the seven hills will be destroyed, and the Fearful Judge will judge his people. The end.”
From this perspective, the lightning strike indeed takes on a dramatically symbolic meaning. And, if the prophecy is destined to come true, the thought that a great trial carries within it a great Chance, to leap over obstacles on the Path to Freedom, is encouraging.

The episcopate is indeed one of the powerful organizations with many relics and experience. And, most likely, some structures are engaged in restraining infernal forces. And the pope – is a nominal figure who has come time to replace, because too many scandals have happened in recent years related to him, as well as the well-known crisis of the European Catholic Church..
