Collectors of Souls

In a world steadily sliding from a state of energy generation (the “sefirotic”) to one of dissipation, the energy contained in human souls is becoming ever more valuable.

The theft or sale of a soul, once a rarity worthy of legend and fairy tale, has become commonplace, while the Magi, whose task it was to counter such crimes, are too preoccupied with their own grandeur to continue to fight.

The reality, then, is that the danger of losing one’s soul has shifted from the exotic to a direct, quotidian threat. The underside of ordinary life transforms from horror enthusiasts’ speculation into a plain, prosaic reality.

People are being conditioned not to value themselves, not to worry much about the weight of their soul, and as a result the world is filling with empty shells.

Accordingly, the number of players on this “soul market” has risen sharply.

This is aided both by the general destabilization of the world and by the loss of the Seals, so whole pyramids of ‘soul collectors’ have appeared, gathering unwanted or dying souls, buying and stealing the energy of lived experience.

There is no need now to devise elaborate contractual schemes or promise fabulous riches for a soul — the Internet is flooded with advertisements for buying and selling souls at similar prices. And the saddest part is that many of these ads are genuine — that is, one can easily find both people who are genuinely willing to sell their soul and beings genuinely able to buy souls. Moreover, the loss of the soul has become even more commonplace than its sale — people simply do not understand how or, indeed, why they should hold onto their souls, and, to the delight of the collectors, often give it away for free.

Of course, this discussion is not meant to summon everyone to a “defense of the world” — the Magi understand perfectly well that the fight for the world must begin with the fight for oneself; rather, it is meant as a reminder of the importance of a clear system of values that keeps the Psychocosmos in a well-ordered state.

It is very important to remember that a human being is a Microcosm, a self-sufficient system, and no one and nothing can add to or remove anything from that system unless the system allows this.

No one can steal the soul of someone who is unwilling to give it. It is not surprising, then, that firmness of will and clarity of intention are being so actively eroded in the modern world. The clearer a person clarifies their goals, the more clearly they see themselves and their Way, the more power their mind has over it.

Conversely, the less a person understands themselves — their motives, desires, and inclinations — the more readily they agree to dubious offers and the easier it is to convince them that their soul has little value.

Indeed, the words “I don’t know what I want” are a large step toward losing one’s soul, and the absence of a clear inner core contributes to that loss above all else. For the formation of the soul, as for its retention, a high degree of internal order is necessary, and accordingly the Magi’s striving to structure their being can also be seen in this light.

  1. Dear Enmerkar! I noticed this trend five years ago, closely observed it, tried to intervene and help those around me. You know the outcome. And you probably do not know how useful your article is to me today. Please tell me, how to protect relatives and close ones, far from initiation, from this tendency?

  2. Hello, Enmerkar. Tell me, is it possible to return or restore a part of the soul that has been lost?

  3. Is there a way to redeem the soul back for empty vessels and should magicians interfere in this process at all?

  4. This situation has a reverse side as well. Since no one but the person themselves can take anything from their Psychocosmos, there is a more or less conscious movement towards self-destruction. Even if such a drive is formed under the oppression of predators, Free Will has not been canceled yet. And when you see people who, despite the desire of those around them to revive them, deliberately move towards the abyss, the desire to fight for them disappears. When a person, instead of striving to live, chooses the process of dying, you must still acknowledge that it is Their choice. No matter how painful it is. The struggle for peace begins with oneself and with the desire to shield your loved ones.

  5. Yes, there are ways to return or “redeem” that part which was lost. However, one of the conditions is that this part has not been irrevocably “devoured” by those who received it.
Is it worth intervening – this question is too individual. If the motivation is sufficient, you can intervene; if you have enough strength and skills, then the intervention will be successful. And, of course, you must remember about the Responsibility for your choice.

  6. In my opinion, the difficulty lies in how to determine whether this is “conscious movement towards self-destruction” or the “oppression of predators.” After all, to solve a problem, you need to know the root cause.

  7. Please tell me, are psychics and healers who correct karma, like Grigory Grabovoi, for example, gatherers of souls? And how do the ads look on the internet?

  8. Half of psychics are just charlatans draining money. Another part are just idiots, and there are very few real ones, and believe me, if you pay attention and think, it will become clear immediately who is in front of you.

  9. Kazë, if you mean the “creation” of a new soul, then in my opinion, this is impossible. Rather, the soul “creates” (being a part of the Monad). An already existing soul can be formed, “grown,” and “raised,” which requires quite a bit of effort.

  10. Unfortunately, there is such a tendency, the sale of the soul, for love spells and not only to get the desired object with money, but there is also a trap ritual where a witch/sorcerer gives a naive student a ritual for ‘Power’ at the same time a being possesses the student destroying him, while the witch/sorcerer receives a bonus for the ruined soul.

  11. In the course of an interesting experiment, it was determined that the mantra “Om mani padme hum,” the prayer “Our Father,” and “All-Merciful” positively influence the Soul, helping the wounded Soul to restore itself.
