Magic: Rebellion or Revolution?
We have discussed many times that Magic as a system of approaches aimed at accelerating evolution, breaking vicious circles and attaining freedom is directly opposed to that “natural order of things” which has arisen from a darkened mind. The nature of gilgul is such that it possesses self-enclosure, is self-reinforcing, and, according to its own inner logic, has no way out. Therefore, to discern what lies beyond and above this cycle, a fundamentally different system of representations is required, and all the “Ways of Liberation” attempt to present such a system. Magic is one of those Ways, having developed a system of liberation through conscious activity that leads to the exhaustion and transformation of the gilgul‘s driving forces.
Being one of the systems that are highly ‘alternative’ to everyday life, and moreover relying on practical action as its driving force to achieve its aims, Magic is, of course, inherently countercultural, and its spirit often verges on destructive rebelliousness. Consequently, very often those whose rejection of customary norms and patterns of existence turns into “opposition for the sake of opposition,” “rejection for rejection’s sake,” take up the Way of Magic. And very often one can observe how, in pursuit of something “alternative,” Magic turns into a kind of peculiar affectation: a desire to stand out, to set oneself apart from others, and thereby assert one’s uniqueness.
It is obvious that such a distortion arises from a refusal to undertake deep analysis of the causes and mechanisms of the existing state of affairs, as a tendency to take the path of least resistance.
At the same time, the striving for an “alternative” worldview often only leads to the existing picture of the world being “supplemented” with images and figures of varying reality or virtuality, in order to rearrange priorities and justify an order in which such a “magus” becomes a prominent figure. It is no surprise that this gives rise to many different myths of varying degrees of mutual compatibility. And this myth-making does not always take into account that any worldview has its own internal logic, and adding new elements to it is far from always an expansion.
These “rebellious” worldviews, intended to set themselves against the majority opinion, to enter into confrontation with it and (in theory) to elevate themselves above it, are, unfortunately, rarely productive. Therefore it is not surprising that traditionalist Magi are usually very wary and skeptical of worldviews like the “Kingdom of the Mahatmas” or the “Judeo-reptiloid conspiracy.” In the same way, archaic witchcraft worldviews designed to underpin very narrow practical approaches, and which are hard to scale, are not always evolutionarily productive.
The magical myth that must lay the foundation for the mind’s escape from the cycle of repetition (which, moreover, it never truly entered) must be based not on a “modified” survival myth humanity created in its attempt to fortify and root itself in the manifested world, but on a fundamentally different basis. This is exactly how all traditional systems of development are constructed – they are, from the outset, founded on different principles, organized around different axes of value and meaning, and different hierarchies.
In this sense, the transition of the mind from the “ordinary” to the “magical” (or, more generally, the traditionally spiritual) worldview is not merely a rebellion, not simply a confrontation or an attempt to gain increased personal worth: it is a genuine revolution, a complete rupture of existing templates and matrices and their replacement by fundamentally different ones.
And until the mind is ready for such a radical restructuring of its conceptual framework, for an irreversible break with one system and the move into a completely different one, with other values and laws, it, at best, stalls at the threshold, unable to decide whether to return to the familiar world of consumption or to step forward. And it changes nothing to paper over a prison cell’s walls with pretty photographic wallpaper or posters of comic-book heroes: the walls must either be torn down, or you must admit that you are comfortable inside them.

Do you see a real opportunity for a person who is trying to sort things out to achieve the correct understanding of the Path? It is impossible, in principle, to deal with destructive forces, with one’s own consciousness, with its rubbish, it is impossible! Because any attempt to go beyond will be thwarted; everything will be presented as something else, everywhere, in principle everywhere will be displayed prisms, distorting everything. I think that only a few have managed to find, pass through, and succeed on their own. And all who try to learn on their own are doomed either to madness (possession) or to a divergence from the Path or to death. The devils (demons, forces…) are smarter than people. Therefore, in your book, it is absolutely correct to say that it is dangerous to go on your own. You know that demons can not only whisper in your ears; they can also physically present themselves as someone else and even confess love, although this is not funny at all, but people believe them. In general, I think it is better to find a school, communicate with knowledgeable individuals and learn under supervision than to read correct books and misunderstand them with a distorted brain and consciousness.
It is not certain that in some school, under the supervision of the ‘knowledgeable’, you will find what you are looking for… True Knowledge cannot be bought. And free teachers are like that free cheese in a mousetrap… Open this blog on the home page and start reading from the first article. Over time, a rough picture will form in your head – the Structure of the Myth that Enmerkar is trying to convey to the world. Perhaps this Myth will be useful for you if you feel an attraction to Enmerkar and his words. Words, no matter how smart and correct they are, cannot make a person a magician, but sometimes Words Can Provide Hints – in which direction you should move, provided that These Words resonate with Your Heart, Your Inner feeling of what is right for you. Regarding your question about criteria – How to figure it out? How to understand what is right and what is wrong? – Look for criteria. They are present in this blog too. And with other authors. And they are in your body – in your self-awareness… and about danger. Everything Real is Dangerous, as one of the constant commentators of this blog wrote… but in this, perhaps, lies the Salt of Life – to come into contact with the dangerous…
Enmerkar writes complexly, but the way he describes lacks dark spots, is systematic and cannot leave one indifferent. Deep understanding is a huge advantage. Regarding fear. I am not afraid of the beings themselves, contacts, or anything like that, although this should be scary, of course. I know that my fear is their tool, so there is no fear; it just needed to be overcome once. But I fear the consequences, the inability to manage states, the misunderstanding of certain processes… Here, perhaps, I would like a guiding, controlling hand, and in case of something, a restraining one. You understand, theory is super, but practice must also be there. Although, of course, at first theory. About teachers. You know, it happens that I read articles, watch videos of some teacher, and then at the stage of ‘maybe I’ll try to go there’, suddenly it starts: in this author’s book, I see runes on every page, a matrix is needed for the training, and all against the backdrop of ‘come out from under the influence of egregors, we are not a sect, we are a school’. Or another case, you can study remotely, but I cannot accept the words ‘we subjugate egregors to form a happy life’ and use runes, spells, and all that. And the last case. It seems like a teacher, I speak with him, I like everything, even a decent price for training, if it is normal, I accepted it, I’m ready to pay for it. But suddenly, for some reason, this teacher’s voice starts shaking… I myself am nervous, how can I go to a nervous teacher? I do not plan to join Enmerkar’s students; he refused, there must have been reasons, but in general there is nothing repelling, no zombification, no artificial attraction… Well, unless you count that he is too smart and does not always understand that most people are slightly different in their ‘brain’ abilities, and if he thinks about something and writes two words about it, it is not at all a fact that most will understand what he thought about. In general, let him read this, as it seems he fundamentally does not respond to my comments.
GLA, you addressed me. So. … You cannot rely on the body. … A reliable criterion for correctness appears after reaching your True Self/High Self. This channel must become conscious. While it is not there. Yes, you can use your intuition if it is from High Self/True Self. Because ‘intuition’ can also come from destructive forces. Here, for example, search for articles about signs given by the external world. … About identifying elements – look for ‘stalking’. (Google it). There is also something about this here. … Schools are unlikely to help. I don’t even know any to recommend. (They are about 90% under distortions, one way or another.) All the practitioners I know with real abilities (without distortions) – they are without schools. … In general, you exaggerate. It is not that bad.
I will also say something in the context of GLA’s questions. Everything, as usual, is based on my practical experience, not claiming to be great truth, just there is no other) Personally, I would highlight from the recent comments the golden words of Enmerkar from here https://enmerkar.com/en/way/self-knowledge-self-scrutiny-and-self-admiration ‘Therefore all that remains is to work on this cleansing, go along your Path, listen to your heart, and realize what it commands, thinking not about becoming ‘better’, but striving to get closer to your own nature.’; and Theo: ‘In general, you exaggerate. It is not that bad.’ For me, it was very important to deeply understand and accept the postulate that Life is a Developing Game (this was in one of Enmerkar’s posts in his VKontakte). The point is that as long as you do not perceive everything around as a Great Game, and perceive everything as overly serious, only ‘deeply embedded’ survival programs will be launched. As they say: ‘fight or flee’, panic emotions will be triggered, non-specific self-preservation instincts. Struggling with them (which will be experienced as fears, aggressions, etc.), while remaining in a provoking environment of society, is a dead-end path for the majority. Unless, at first, one has a strong will and a strong mission. If this is a Game, in which I must surely win (not against someone, but for something) and make all available efforts to do so, while understanding that nothing is more important than the other… I even sometimes tell myself – well, I will have to reboot, so I will reboot… Of course, I perfectly understand that such reasoning can only come after getting experience (which I have), that ‘my’ Consciousness is not me (the pronoun ‘my’ is inappropriate, but just to make it clearer). Consciousness (Kia in the terminology of O.O. Sphear) is Indestructible, and all superstructures on it: I-ego-personality, memory, sensations, etc. – will eventually, sooner or later be destroyed, erased. Only Play remains! As someone said: ‘All Paths are equally unimportant, but some have Heart.’ And each heart is unique.
And just a couple more words about schools and teachers. I in no way will assert that this is fundamentally important or fundamentally unimportant. But I have indeed encountered people on my life path who I consider my Teachers, so I will just give two hints for possible searching. First. It is when the encounter seems to happen by itself. Yes, some effort was made to find information, and then it was necessary to go somewhere, to travel. But overall – everything happened synchronistically. Second. You need to answer yourself very adequately (understanding what I really want to gain and whether that will be given) and very honestly to the question: Why? And if after this, confidence in the necessity of a School and Teacher only strengthens – then search, but already having a ‘map’.
Thank you very much, Theo, thank you very much, Maxim! Your words and your attention are both necessary and very valuable. Honesty is probably the most important thing and it is, as usual, lacking. I am learning not to lie to myself, but this, as it turns out, is not very simple. I cannot really answer the question ‘why do I need Magic’, or for solving those questions that I cannot solve without it, or for growth, or for something else. So probably, I will not answer myself… in general, you are right.
When a magician reaches a certain amount of energy, his consciousness becomes indestructible. Having reached a certain experience, one can transition to another world with the body, soul, and memory. This is done by understanding spaces and shifting the spectrum. Everything is defined by consciousness.
2 Numen. Transition to the ‘other world’ – does it imply exiting the gilgul or moving through the ‘vertical gilgul’? After all, besides the ‘horizontal’ self-enclosed movement, there is also an infinite (or still finite) ‘vertical’ hierarchy of worlds: both less developed (degenerated) and more ‘hellish’ than ours and more advanced, so to speak, but still within the bounds of samsara. If a being travels within the bounds of samsara – what would distinguish it from an elementar?
Max, what you wrote to me is probably clear only to you. I mean (go outside at night and look up), that a sufficiently developed magician acquires immortality. Worlds, both inhabited and free – they are infinite. ‘Hell’ or ‘Heaven’ is the degree of a being’s attitude toward their manifestation. Regarding the elementar.. The magician transitions from one world to another, as you transition from one room to another and this does not require building spacecraft. Everything is defined by consciousness.
Regarding Samsara. As far as I understood correctly, you are talking about the complete dissolution of worlds and their processing in the mill of emptiness? So for that, several million years must pass, or maybe even more, and are you really worried about that? In short: the source gives a flash for the emergence of from hundreds to several million luminaries. One luminary – several thousand planets not counting their reflections. Now calculate how many worlds are in the universe, taking into account that the sphere is growing at the speed of thought.
Max, the degradation of the world depends on the fulfillment of a certain ‘destiny’ by this world and the beings inhabiting it. Deviations serve to thin the connection, both in genetic and other connections. And our world is unfortunately no exception.
I will correct about the degradation of the world. To be more precise, there is no degradation. There is non-compliance by beings inhabiting the world to certain rules that serve the longevity of the world, associated with its life support.
I think, the ‘fundamental restructuring of glossaries’ is comparable to Castaneda’s ‘discarding of the human inventory list’
The Old Testament Moses exhausted all moving resources of Gilgul. Grigori told me that when Moses led the people, time stopped and everyone froze.
But he didn’t say what Time is if it can be stopped?
Author, good time! As I read your articles, I wondered why they were written in such words. Today I realized. Then I read the confirmation in this article of yours. What I wanted to say (one should adhere to style): Every saint has a demon of no less rank as an advisor. I offer you a little bit of myself on your difficult path.
