And consequently, there is a supposition that different people might be presented with a completely different energetic bill. A northerner might easily use the runes, but if they were to apply to some African systems like Kimbanda, they could be skinning them alive.

Courage is not just the readiness to face “strikes” against the adversary; the danger of using Runes is much less than in many other types of Magical influence. Courage means the willingness to accept responsibility for the “new” state of the world, the new forces brought into it. I have often said that Rune Magic is very personal, and therefore the responsibility of the Rune mage is the responsibility of a creator for their creation.
