For the Magus, the level of his Luck is a consciously appreciable factor in his development. “Luck” for the Magus is not an inexplicable play of probability, but the result of a certain energy at work—an energy that can be assessed and measured and must be used according to its purpose.
Only by being aware that the Forces invoked by the Ritual and the Currents it activates have multifaceted manifestations can the Magus achieve the Ritual’s aim — the integral harmonization of world and mind.
By examining the separate stages according to the nature of the plants, one can not only understand the characteristics of the “inner” life of a flow of Power, but also uncover the “hidden” levers for guiding its currents.
For a Magus it is vitally important not only to discover his strengths, but also the gaps in his development; not only to cultivate what obviously seeks growth, but also to work on “illuminating” the depths of his mind.
The world is flows of probabilities, and every action alters the membership of the self in one or another flow, in one or another chain of cause and effect.
The development of the magus as an integrated being must include both elements — the cultivation of his “essential” component, that is, training in action; and, on the other hand, the development of his “knowing” level — that is, training in awareness.

For the Way to become natural, one must first study it long and hard; and to understand that the Way was never lost, one must first search for it long and hard.
It can be said that any successful Magus is a goetic Magus, even if the Lemegeton is not his reference book.
Responsibility for the Magus is not merely a pretty word, nor even a desirable positive quality; for him it is a direct condition of both his own survival and the safety of those around him.
The Magus understands that he is not separable from the world, and this understanding for him is not an ethical principle but the very basis of his existence, the manner in which he looks at the world and interacts with the world — an interaction with himself.
Magic is a Way of developing the mind through action — a Way of transformation and transmutation that unfolds through ordering, through the interaction of the cognizing aspect with whatever is brought into awareness.
